Jamcorder

Jamcorder came out of nowhere for me and when I saw what it could do I was instantly smitten. You just plug it in and it will record midi messages of everything you play on your digital piano for.. well, the rest of your life! I love that you can use a second midi lead to play files back through the instrument. What’s not to like? Full stars from me!! Martin

I don't even have to think about scribbling down the fleeting inventions of my mind whenever I pass by my piano keyboard—just play it, forget it, and then be inspired again later by midi files of my forgotten noodling.

I love my jamcorder and it does exactly what it was promised to do. Still a bit hit and miss getting the effects through my keyboard to play back as played and sometimes is does and sometimes it doesn’t but i know its just me getting used to it. It can be difficult to find my exact recording after a long session writing stuff but its all there and thats all that matters . If i could have one thing with the jamcorder it would be instructions for shortcuts easy ways to do stuff especially for the older generation like myself. All in all i love it and its about getting the “knack” of it but its easy and straightforward to connect up and record straight out the box folks . Love how i can play it back on my keyboard its like standing beside yourself playing great little device.

I am a seeker of inventions created by someone who saw a unique need, "Asked Around" as it were, and discovered that no one had addressed it, or addressed it successfully. JAMCORDER is one of those "Why didn't I think of that?!" devices-its simple, a pretty quick learning curve, and It Actually Really Works!, and Well.Now I'm the one saying "how did I ever live without this?" as I wade through midi file after midi file trying to recover that one killer 16 bar phrase that even my fingers were surprised that I played. Now I just mark it, move on and when I go back- there it is, smiling at me, and Chip, and saying "See,I'm right here! Aren't you glad you didn't loose me?" Writers, unrelenting jammers, late night kind of mellow piano tinklers, ( all describe me, actually) have a backup plan-JAMCORDER. I'd get two if I could-one for the midi-equipped Grand in the house and one for the Hammer-88 in the studio( which is where the one I just got is installed-took a few minutes and back to work, ideas, brilliant and ( full disclosure) less-than-brilliant, composing thoughts preserved. When I first heard about the Jamcorder, I really loved the idea and thought, “if this can do a decent job at what it claims to be, it will be well worth it.”

Turns out, this device was simple to use, has a powerful app, and even has a specific charm/personality to it. Well done.
